Belize Fundraiser Program
The Belize School Initiative
In 2023 we started a Program to donate equipment to schools around Belize. This got a little more headway via The PDGA providing a Marco Polo Grant to Trek Stop Disc Golf Course to help them upgrade their baskets. The agreement between Trek Stop and PDGA was to donate their old Targets to schools.
Belize Disc Golf raised 200 USD through Disc Sales in the US. Chris and Rose Leonard donated 2 new baskets and nearly 200 new discs to the Program.
To date we have gone and done clinics and donated equipment to:
May 16th – Copper Bank School: 48 Discs, 1 Target
May 24th – Progresso School: 48 Discs, 1 Target
June 9th – Mount Carmel: 48 Discs, 2 Targets (from Trek)
June 19th – Chunox School: 48 Discs, 1 Target
